About me

About me:

I have been an avid eater since I can remember but I didn't start dreaming of a career in food until my mid twenties. Short stint as a bakery cook at a restaurant in Queens solidified that the kitchen is where I wanted to be. Eating out of places with food that should be reminiscent of home but isn't made me want to have my own place-a small hole in the wall that cooked and serve food the way I know it should be cooked and served.
I unfortunately deviated from the plan and did not go to culinary school the way I should have many years ago- some people say I don't need too but I know better- and will start that course of my life sooner rather than later. For now this blog remains as it always was, a place to share my cooking, and hopefully I will be able to share more and more with you all.

Update 2017:
I finally made it to Culinary School, yay!! I completed the Culinary Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education in 2016. I had the honor of completing my externship at The Spotted Pig in Greenwich Village, NYC. Now to chase down that "hole-in-the-wall".
